What does Stella love most about nature?

Every time I step out into nature it’s brand new. It changes every minute of every day. I can explore one part of a trail or stream and then find a brand new mushroom or bug crawling around that wasn’t there before. It makes me smile no matter how I’m feeling. I love being a part of nature!

What is Stella's favorite animal—and why?

Snakes. There isn’t just one particular snake species that interests me, just snakes in general. I like how they can be all different sizes, colors and even shapes. One of my  favorite snakes is the Common Water Snake because I can observe them by my home in the river.

What is Stella's favorite outdoor activity?

I LOVE searching for snakes but my all time favorite thing to do is kayaking with my family. I get to spend time listening and looking at my favorite birds, turtles, snakes and frogs. I get to swim with fish and even jump from the trees down into the water. Kayaking is the best!
