My favorite thing about nature is how everything in nature makes music. The wind in the trees, the gentle scraping of a deer shedding antlers, a baby bird calling to their Mama....it's all beautiful and makes the most wonderful music if you stop to listen! Nature's music changes each day and throughout the day. The droplets of rain on the trees, the leaves on trees swaying in the wind, and the hum of bees all provide us soothing sounds....I also love to eat the honey my bees provide for us!
My favorite animal is the koala. I think it's really cool that koalas have two thumbs that help them climb trees so well. I also admire koalas because they only take what they need from the eucalyptus trees and do not waste the resources around them. Like the koala, I am also happy to stay close to home in my treehouse, high above the other animals. Sometimes I wish my mom could still carry me around in a baby carrier, kind of like how koalas carry their young in their pouch.
My favorite outdoor activity is observing the deer, rabbits and foxes in the woods behind our house. I have a treehouse that allows me to observe the animals around me. I love to watch the kits (baby foxes) play together in the woods. They love to wrestle and play, just like I do with my daddy and big brother! At night, I like to watch the bats fly around catching bugs in the air. They swoop and dip through the night sky filling up their tummies.
