Receive Text UpdatesSlayter’s favorite thing about nature is learning about new animals and ecosystems. He enjoys traveling looking for new habitats to explore and animals to see. He is passionate about doing his part in being a good steward to the earth so that we can continue to coexist with all the plants and animals in the world. When he is unable to explore outside he enjoys watching shows like the Wild Kratts, Planet Earth, Jeff Corwin videos , and The Crocodile Hunter, which have all taught him so much.
Slayter’s favorite animal is an alligator. He likes that the mothers are so protective of their nest/young like his mom is of him and his siblings. He also likes that they are reptiles and that they live in water and on land. He thinks that their nictitating membrane is cool because it helps protect the eye from water and debris. His favorite thing about alligators though is that they are predators and they kill their prey by biting them and doing a death roll.
Slayter’s favorite outdoor activity is hiking with his dad. He loves to visit new parks and explore them looking for new animals to document. He likes to bring his camera and take photos of the plants and animals that he encounters so that he can identify them later. He finds great joy in immersing himself in nature and learning about new things. He is very curious and inquisitive and is always asking questions about why things are the way they are.
