What does Sawyer love most about nature?

What I love most about nature is how everything is connected in amazing ways. Plants and animals interact with their environment in a perfect balance - like bees pollinating flowers or trees giving animals shelter. Each part has a role and even the smallest creature matters. I love learning how these systems work together to survive and grow. It shows how smart and detailed nature is and it makes me appreciate the world even more.

What is Sawyer's favorite animal—and why?

The axolotl is my favorite animal because of its unique ability to regenerate body parts. Not just limbs, but also complex tissues like their spinal cord, heart, and parts of their brain - without scarring. The axolotl’s always cheerful expression is one of its most adorable features. It reminds me of a Pokémon character, a topic on which I am pretty much an expert! Their critically endangered status makes me appreciate them even more, as they symbolize the urgent need for conservation.

What is Sawyer's favorite outdoor activity?

Hiking is my favorite thing to do outside because I get to see fascinating places that you can only find if you work really hard to get there. I like climbing up big hills and jumping over rocks. It makes me feel strong and accomplished. When I finally get to the top, the view is amazing, like a secret place just for me. It’s fun to explore and be in nature and it’s even better because I get to do it with my family!
