Learn moreSam says that what he enjoys most about nature is that each time you step outside, some new adventure awaits! You can see new sights, hear new sounds, hold new creatures, and explore new paths. Being outside is what we were created and designed to do! We are made to be caretakers of the forest, animal watchers, and bug catchers! Sam is honored for this opportunity to learn even more about his favorite things. He is the bravest five year old we know!
Sam’s favorite animal is the Komodo Dragon! He can tell you that it is part of the largest species of lizards and part of the monitor lizard family. He would love to travel to see these awesome reptiles in their natural habitat one day. He has watched videos of Steve Irwin visiting these lizards, and since then he was hooked! He says they are very fast, but not as fast as he is (or so he thinks).
Sam loves to hike to new destinations and even revisit trails he has already explored because there is always something different to see. On hikes, he especially loves to jump into little creeks and streams to find fresh water creatures like snails. Every smooth rock is a treasure. Every new leaf has to be touched. We have a family goal to visit all of the US National Parks together in our lifetime and have already crossed a couple off of the list.
