What does Samuel love most about nature?

Wildlife is Sammy's favorite part of nature. From the rare Blue Lobster to the soaring Harpy Eagle to a creeping, crawling caterpillar, Sammy loves a diverse array of animals from distinct ecosystems, habitats, and continents!

What is Samuel's favorite animal—and why?

While it is difficult for Sammy to choose only one favorite animal, Sammy is a reptile lover at heart, and he considers the Gharial to be his favorite! He loves the Gharial because of its unique snout that holds a lot of really sharp teeth! He first learned about Gharials on an adventure globe toy and even saw them up close at the Bronx Zoo on a recent family trip. He knows that they are a critically endangered species and understands what this means. Sammy wants to learn how to help them!

What is Samuel's favorite outdoor activity?

Sammy loves picking wild black raspberries in his backyard because he loves fresh fruit and picking the berries straight from the plant is as fresh as it gets! He usually ends up covered in black raspberry juice, which is half of the fun! This is a family activity that Sammy looks forward to every year!
