Receive Text UpdatesRudy loves how calming nature is. Whenever he is in a funk he knows heading to our local forest preserve will help hit the reset on his mood. Rudy also loves the interconnectivity of ecosystems! It's amazing how bugs, plants, animals, and even microscopic organisms all exist to coexist in their own little worlds. Rudy loves to share the fun facts about how trees communicate, how ducks help populate local ponds through their poop, and how the area we live in used to be an ancient coral reef!
Rudy's fave animal is a garter snake because we have found them in our backyard, in our basement, and at our local forest preserve. He likes that they are fairly easy to catch and not a threat to humans. He also just thinks they look cool as they slither around the forest floor!
Rudy's favorite outdoor activity is walking in a forest. Even though it seems like a very chill and uneventful thing to do, to him it is actually super exciting. He likes to stop and observe big logs or look for critters under a rock. It is also a great way to observe birds, listen for toads and frogs, and of course check out cool trees!
