Learn moreRuby love bugs. She collects roly-poly's and worms whenever she is outside and she builds habitats for them in whatever she can find to hand. Whenever we go camping she puts together a collection of interesting rocks and leaves and sticks that she finds about the campsite and loves to show it off. One of the things she loves most actually came out of Wisconsin State Parks activity book - she uses different colored things from nature to "paint" on white paper.
Cats - Ruby loves cats of all shapes and sizes. She can't pick one because she finds the similarities and differences so interesting. Which ones purr vs roar? Why the different markings? She truly loves them all and the moreso because of the differences between them but her favorites are tigers and snow leopards like we have at the local zoo.
Building bug habitats and rock collecting. She loves to build homes for bugs that she finds in places they're "not supposed to be" and then gets them back where they belong. She also loves to look at the different types of rock learn why they are that way. We have a digital microscope that we bring with us and we get to look at "zoomed in" pictures of the things she finds on daddy's computer.
