Rowan: "I love being part of the Earth. I really love the animals; I talk to them & they talk back to me." Rowan is a person who loves being immersed in things. Nature, especially animals, captures his attention + you see him lose himself in flow when observing or gently handling animals. We homeschool to help foster his passions & gifts. It has been clear to me since he was a baby that nature, specifically animals, are both of those for him.
Rowan: "I love penguins & how playful they are. Zipping down ice slides and diving into the water. And how they take care of their babies. My 2nd favorite animal is a frog. I like that I get to be with them from egg to tadpole to froglet & then frog."
Rowan: "Hiking & catching critters with my net down at the pool (pond by our house). We drain it every spring and this year I got waders!!! Ive caught salamanders, crawfish, tadpoles, fish, and even a big catfish this year! Ive seen pickerel but they're too fast to catch with a net."
