He is interested in conservation and enjoys earning Junior Ranger badges at National Parks around the country.

What is Rowan's favorite animal—and why?

Rowan’s favorite insect is a butterfly but his favorite animals are birds and dogs. He has a bird book and likes to look up and keep track of what birds come to our bird feeder. He also loves dogs and loves “training” dogs. He has a dog training book and likes to study new tricks to teach our dog and our neighbors dogs. He likes dogs because they are loyal and cute.

What is Rowan's favorite outdoor activity?

Rowan’s favorite outdoor activity is mountain biking. We live in the mountains of western North Carolina and we have some beautiful mountain biking trails. He recently did his first creek crossing and thought it was amazing!
