Receive Text UpdatesRoen loves animals! Anything we do outside he is always searching for signs of animals. He will flip rocks looking for bugs and salamanders. Always watching the ground for animal prints. He built a bug habitat in our backyard. We had a family of fox on our property and every morning he would go check they were there. His favorite shows are chandlers wildlife and Steve Irwin. We have lots of pets at home and he cares for them all. He has a natural draw to animals and has since he was a baby!
Corn snake! He loves all reptiles and especially snakes, but the corn snake is his favorite because of how docile they are. He ALWAYS wants to hold reptiles and the corn snake is easy for a young kid to handle. At age 3 he was BEGGING for a snake and we got him a corn snake for his first one. We visit lots of reptile stores and events and he has no hesitation to hold anything! He would have a king cobra if we could. He hopes to have a ball python one day, but for now he’s got his corn snake.
Finding salamanders while we are hiking or camping. We spend most of our time outdoors and do seasonal camping. Roen spends most of his day in the woods looking for critters. He will hold them and study them and put them back. He also loves to make sure they have shelter and food and water wherever he finds them. When he finds something he hasn’t yet come across he asks tons of questions about the animal to learn as much as he can about. He’s always showing us something he found in nature!!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
