Roan loves outdoor adventure, identifying wildlife, learning/sharing facts about nature, helping animals and protecting our natural world.
Thank you for generously supporting Roan in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
Roan loves interacting with nature as well as observing, naming & helping animals. Currently, he's fascinated with how plants and trees "breathe" & takes me through the process regularly. He’s always identifying birds that he sees & hears, he rescued a bumblebee that was almost dead, nursed it back to health & named it "Edgar Jello"- whenever a bee comes near he's decided it's E.J.'s family member coming to thank us. He also uses the "thumb rule" to keep a safe distance from wildlife.
Roan loves cats, rabbits and foxes - he recently said the fox at a local nature park was the "G.O.A.T. of Cuteness" and he will fall asleep the fastest if the cat is on his pillow purring.
Roan is an adventurer and loves it all - playing in the rain, biking, walking, bird watching, playing basketball, riding his scooter, skateboarding, swimming (any kind of water), boulder scrambling, creek-crossing, finding wildlife and mushrooms.
