River Rose has always been a bit more quiet and shy. But when she’s outside in nature she sings. She loves bug catching and birdwatching.

Receive Text UpdatesRiver loves so many things about nature but if we had to narrow it down I think she really enjoys the mystery of it all! We walk the trails of Nippersink Creek by our home very often and she loves to track animal prints and try to figure what creature left them behind. Riv loves magnifying bugs in her bug catcher and then setting them free. She loves the beauty of all the plants and vegetation too- we keep a treasure box of rocks, leaves, and other plants to take home!
River loves birds! We often see bald eagles and hawks flying and she gets very excited about that! She will say “Mom look at their big wings!” She’s enamored with the concept of egg hatching and we watched the bald eagle eggs on the news together when they were ready to hatch. Rivers favorite animal right now is the Bald Eagle.
Hiking and nature walking for sure is Rivs favorite! She loves to explore and collect data and information. I, myself went to Swift Nature Camp in Minong Wisconsin for over ten years of my childhood, and so me and Riv 100% nerd out over nature facts and we love to learn together! We spend hours just walking and chatting about what we see and find together. It’s our time to escape and grow in nature hand in hand. Wind in her hair and dirt on her hands- she’s not afraid to get messy!
