Richie has never said no to an adventure and we’ve been on a ton. I love watching his big heart expand to caring for nature and animals.

What does Richard love most about nature?

Richie says “learning what types of plants are good to eat and bad to eat, how to find food, how animals react to nature around them or if they’re new to nature, and learn about different types of animals; how much colors they have on them. It’s super cool how you see animals with different colors. I love to see how they live in nature and use nature. Also I love to learn about different types of trees like maple trees I can make syrup from.

What is Richard's favorite animal—and why?

“One of those red bird things that looks like they have Mohawks - a red cardinal. Because they have bright colors. Also blue jays. Because they are blue, black, white and I like their patterns. Oh and salamanders because how they look kind of cute and super nice and they can come in different colors like orange with black dots, and black with yellow dots….”

What is Richard's favorite outdoor activity?

“Swimming, walking around in nature, looking at different animals, seeing all the stuff I can do in nature. I like looking under rocks because I see salamanders, worms, roads sometimes. Going by the water streams and trying to look for frogs. Fishing is fun catching different types of fish and how to catch different types of fish. Trout, bass, pike, blue gill. Also I like to listen to how other animals calls.”
