Receive Text UpdatesHe loves the peace of it. Especially Florida’s rainy season and water habitats, where he can spend hours. He enjoys identifying animals, mushrooms, plants, and stars. Camping with family, especially at Fish Eating Creek, is a magical tradition. He first kicked in his mom’s belly at Highlands Hammock. With his parents, he fishes, builds fires, and learns about wildlife. On hikes, he explores creeks, builds small dams to catch tadpoles, crawfish, frogs, and even studies fossils and edible plants.
Remedios loves amphibians, especially salamanders. Their metamorphosis, ability to live on land, and their patterns, colors, and sizes fascinate him. He’s always searching for them on hikes and in waterways, calling them mysterious and cute. His first pet was a veiled chameleon named Gregory, found in Florida with his dad! Later, he got a leopard gecko named Habibi with his mom! Though reptiles became his favorite, he still loves his two cats, Croutons and Ziggy.
It's hard for him to choose! He loves swimming, tree climbing, hiking, and camping. He hopes to rock climb outdoors one day, so far, it's been indoors. He enjoys the ocean most and recently started snorkeling with his best friend! They found sea slugs, crabs, and nearly stepped on a flounder! As a family, we love identifying trees, edible fruits, mushrooms, and birds. He was especially proud to catch a big peacock bass in Big Cypress with a lure! He’s excited to snorkel more and maybe spot eels!
