Our daughter loves learning about everything outside, she loves climbing trees, hiking the woods, camping, and asking endless questions.

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreRachel loves seeing new things. She loves traveling and finding “treasures”. She will scour the woods, the beach, the ground for rocks, pebbles, leaves, gemstones. She has a tree in our woods that she calls her “gymnastics tree” because she can climb it and bounce on it like a balance beam.
Her favorite animal is a bear. Ever since she was little little, she would go on bear hunts in the woods with her binoculars. She saw a black bear when we were camping when she was little and it stuck with her.
Exploring is the best way to put it. She has walkie talkies and will go outside and just sing into her walkie talkie. One time she was yelling into it and I asked her what was wrong. She said, “Mama! I’m counting the TREEEES!” She finds treasures throughout her journeys and puts them in my pocket. She loves to sleep under the stars in our backyard and catching lightning bugs in the summer. She’s a water bug for any lake, pond, waterfall.
