It's very challenging for her to pick only one favorite animal, but after meeting Asian elephants in India, she was smitten. Big-hearted, loyal, and wise? Kindred spirits for Priya. At home, though, it’s all about Cairo, her bearded dragon. He’s spiky, snuggly, and full of swagger. Priya loves that he looks like a tiny dinosaur and acts like a sleepy prince. Recent animals of interest: naked mole rat, lantern fish, tube worm, jumping spider, wolf spider, tiger, osprey, and many other birds!
She loves swimming, and also hiking—preferably up something steep, wild, and full of surprises. She’s part athlete, part explorer, and all heart. From coastal trails to mountaintop scrambles, she’s always game for an adventure. She’s also a big fan of bird watching, scavenger hunts, and tent camping—basically, if it involves fresh air, mystery, and movement, Priya’s in her element (and probably leading the way).
