What does Pierce love most about nature?

Pierce, who has autism, feels most at home in nature—where he’s free to explore, express himself, and thrive. Every trail is an adventure, every bug a friend. The outdoors sparks his curiosity, builds his confidence, and fills him with joy!

What is Pierce's favorite animal—and why?

Pierce’s favorite animal is the bear! We see them near our home, and he gets so excited every time. He even pretends to be one when we’re outside. Bears are native to where we live, and while sightings are rare, they feel special—just like Pierce. He loves how strong, unique, and wild they are!

What is Pierce's favorite outdoor activity?

Pierce’s favorite outdoor activity is camping! From sunrise to stargazing, he loves every moment outside. With few toys, he turns nature into his playground—building bird nests from sticks, making rock piles, testing what sinks or floats… and you can’t forget making s’mores by the fire! He’s fully present, exploring with joy and curiosity.
