Learn moreWhat DOESN'T Penelope love?? The wind in her hair, the sun on her face, the sights, the sounds, the smells. From the moment she opens her eyes in the morning, she is bare foot outside, looking for bugs, catching lizards, and begging to go to the nature preserve with her fish nets in hand. She loves raising and learning about animals, growing her own food and flowers, studying creatures large and small, learning weather, exploring every habitat, and discovering something new everywhere she goes!
Oh goodness! When asking her this question, she immediately starts gushing about many different animals! Flamingos have been her favorite bird since she was a baby. She loves that they are pink, and taller than her, and that they get their color from the fish they eat! She loves to hand feed them at Jungle Gardens, and will stand and watch them for hours! Monkeys are also a favorite. She loves how curious and human like they are, and how they swing and climb on everything just like her!
Penelope is a water baby, through and through. Whether it's a day at the beach, a weekend on the river, a trip through the mangroves at a nature preserve, a small pond or creek full of minnows and tadpoles, or even a random mud puddle...she is going in it! Kayaking, shark tooth sifting, cast netting, dip netting, snorkeling, minnow trapping, or just wading through the water by foot, she is always curious and eager to discover her next adventure! If it's found in nature? She's ready for it!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
