My son is at peace when he's in the outdoors. He's always up for building shelters, hopping in the canoe, or climbing a mountain in NH.

Owyn thought about it and said "biodiversity" which I said was too broad of an answer. When pressed he explained that it's just so cool seeing everything working together. Birds in the sky eat fish and bugs, bugs will eat fish and birds, how bugs help break down dead trees. He loves getting in the canoe and seeing fish below us, turtles on logs, with birds nesting beside them.
Owyn's favorite animal is the wolf. He is fascinated by our pets ancestors. He finds, them beautiful and loves their strength and resilience. Reading "Call of the Wild" sure helped!
Owyn says that hiking is is favorite, but really it's more taking a walk in the woods. Sometimes we need a reset and just taking a walk on his favorite trail, sitting by the lake, and whittling some wood is all it takes to bring him back.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
