Receive Text UpdatesI think she feels a real connection to the aina and its inhabitants, great and small. Because of this, I think what she loves most about nature is learning about the animals and the environments they need in order to thrive.
This changes often, but she does have a love for native birds in Hawaii - the Palila is a critically endangered bird that she loves at this time. I believe it’s because of her love of the Palila that she has developed a greater interest in the importance of conservation efforts.
She loves to spend time creating everything from fairy gardens, playing with Kukui and Pilo (our family dogs), and playing with her school friends at Volcanoes National Park.
