Oliver loves going on adventures in the woods! My favorite thing is hiking with my mom and dad, especially when we find big, crashing waterfalls. I like to get close and feel the mist on my face—it’s like nature’s shower! I always bring my bug jar because I like to look at beetles and caterpillars and sometimes even tiny frogs. I talk to squirrels and pretend I’m friends with all the animals. The forest feels like a giant playground, and every hike is a new treasure hunt!
My favorite animal in the whole world is my dog, Duke! He’s big and fluffy and always happy, just like me. Duke goes everywhere with our family—on hikes, camping trips, and even to the lake. He runs super fast and chases sticks I throw, and sometimes we pretend we’re explorers in the jungle. He sleeps by my bed at night and makes me feel safe. Duke is my best friend, my adventure buddy, and the coolest animal ever!
My favorite outdoor activities are fishing and swimming because they’re so much fun and make me feel happy. I love casting my fishing line into the water and waiting for a fish to bite—it’s like a surprise every time! Sometimes I catch a little one and let it go, and other times I just like watching the water move. After fishing, I jump in to swim and splash around. The water feels cool and fun, and I could stay in all day. Being outside by the water is the best!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
