Ohisdi

At 4, my son IDs wild edibles & ate all our Purslane at 3. Born for nature—he’s the next Jr Ranger. Help grow his roots in the wild.

What does Ohisdi love most about nature?

Here’s a 500-character version of your message for the Junior Ranger competition: My 4-year-old son loves being in nature most because it brings him close to his dad, family, and friends. He finds joy feeding wild ducks, learning about plants, and exploring the outdoors with curiosity and wonder. Nature is his favorite place to bond, play, and grow. He’s happiest outside, sharing what he learns and feeling connected to the Earth and the people he loves. That’s what makes him a true Junior Range

What is Ohisdi's favorite animal—and why?

My son loves chickens because they grow big and strong by eating good food, just like he learns to do. He watches how they play, stay close to their friends, and explore the world together. It reminds him of playing with his own friends and learning new things every day. He even says, “They’re like Minecraft chickens, but real!” His love for animals teaches him about nature, health, friendship, and the simple joys of growing up connected to the world around him.

What is Ohisdi's favorite outdoor activity?

He loves playing outside—climbing jungle gyms, swinging high, crossing playground bridges, tossing rocks into the water, and feeding the ducks. He’s always excited to meet new friends and laugh with old ones, exploring and having fun in nature’s playground.
