A great Junior Ranger is curious, respectful, eager to learn, loves nature, follows rules, and helps protect parks for all.

What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreSometimes, when I wake up and the sun is peeking through my window, I just know it’s a nature day. I put on my sneakers, grab my backpack, and head outside like I’m going on a secret mission. The birds always say “hello” first, chirping like they know me. I walk through the trees and pretend they’re giant guardians protecting a magical forest. I find cool bugs, shiny rocks, and sometimes even feathers, and I put them in my pocket like treasures.
Owls are my favorite because they have big, round eyes that glow in the dark like magic. They can turn their heads all the way around, which is super cool and kind of funny. I like how they fly without making a sound, like a superhero with feathers!
Beekeeping is my favorite because I get to wear a funny suit and look like a space explorer. I love watching the bees buzz around and make honey—it’s like they have their own secret world. It’s super fun to help them and then taste the yummy honey we worked on together!
