What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreNellie loves inspecting every stick, rock, bug and plant she can find. She loves to be creative and use whatever she finds in nature as a wand, gemstone or sword. She also loves learning about how plants grow, how animals and bugs build their homes, and making her own collections of rocks, seeds and flowers to look back at later.
Nellie's favorite animal is a squirrel because they're so silly. We live in an area with lots of trees, which means we have lots of squirrels! She loves to watch them jump from branch to branch, collect acorns and taunt our dog Winnie.
Nellie loves to swing. She can swing for hours if we let her. She enjoys staring up at the sky while she swings, spotting clouds and telling us what they look like. She also watches for birds, bats and butterflies while she swings. Her other favorite thing to do is dig in the dirt with her brother to look for bugs, rocks, roots and plants. She and her brother can spend hours digging up "nature treasures" for their collection.
