Receive Text UpdatesNayeli's favorite thing to do is study "creature" habitats. Once she had learned how an animal or insect lives in nature, she likes to build habitats that the creature would thrive in. She learns all of the details, and then of course asks if we can get each one as a pet! We talk about what animals make good pets, and which need to stay wild. She is a HUGE help with our many animals (skunks, turkeys, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, and the occasional frog or lizard- short term-from the yard).
Nayeli's favorite animals are lizards, because they are so much like dragons. She was fascinated with dinosaurs from the moment she could crawl to a book or toy. As she learned about extinction, her interest grew to include lizards and frogs, and birds...though any animal or insect catches her full attention. She also loves lizards because they are "super fast and they hang out well with me".
Nayeli LOVES swimming and "seeing animals:. We live in the woods and she spends time, EVERYDAY, in our creek, looking for "creatures". One of her favorite finds was a tiny mudpuppy, but she gets really pumped anytime she sees a lizard slinking around our cabin.
