What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreMykal loves to get away from the buzz of the city and to listen to the sounds of nature. Mykal is normally very sensitive to sound, but has discovered that when he is in the forest or at the river or at the beach, he is free from that sensitivity & he loves to enjoy the sounds he hears, especially the insects, the sound of the trees, the waves crashing on the sand, most of all he loves the bird songs.
Mykal says, “it’s hard to pick one, I love all of them! I really love the Elks near where I live, it is fun to drive around & look for the herd. Sometimes, the cars on the road all have to stop & wait a long time for the herd to cross the road. We even got at once in a lifetime chance to see the herd on the beach early one morning. I especially love the bull Elk because of his amazing horns, they are giant!
My favorite activity outside is mostly just to explore. There is always something to discover like small creatures, cool rocks, and new trees to climb. I love to explore the tide pools too. Everywhere we go, I always make sure to climb something, like a tree, a cliff, or a giant rock!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
