From naming the cicadas she found in 2021 up until finding a storybook walking trail tonight at a park, Monroe loves all things outdoors. 🌿
Thank you for generously supporting Monroe in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
Climbing trees, observing animals, seeing fawns and squirrels being rehabilitated, catching frogs, loves jumping in puddles, planting flowers, working in the vegetable garden, exploring, digging up dirt and rocks with her tractor, listening to the peepers, walking her dogs while making sure they don’t chase the bunnies into the woods.
She loves all animals but she said that her favorite animals are her dogs. She rubs one of her dog’s soft ears at night to help her fall asleep and this provides a calming effect for my very active, busy daughter. Unicorns are a close second and she is very determined to find one. She isn’t scared of any bugs or animals and loves learning all about them. There are two eagles nests close to our home and we love looking for them out flying.
Jump roping aka jumping rope. Anywhere and everywhere. Grass, dirt, blacktop, gravel, backwards, forwards and skipping with one foot. It’s her favorite and she counts while she jumps. She also loves monkey bars, doing cartwheels in the grass, swimming, splash pads, cheerleading and going to playgrounds and parks. This summer is full of a lot of fun outdoor camps.
