Learn more“I like the animals and the rivers. I like their sounds and stuff.” She is very caring for all creatures from large mammals to earth worms! She has always been a fan of our dogs and chickens. We have been reading species guides of animals since she was a baby. There is a decent chance of anyone stopping by our house to see her barefoot in a princess dress carrying a toad.
“I like deer, because they come to our house.” We have bird and deer feeders in the front yard so the kids and our dogs can watch the wildlife from our living room. We were fortunate to watch two whitetail fawns grow up last year!
“Planting stuff, catching fish and throwing rocks.” We like to take nets and small tanks to rivers to take pictures of fish, crawfish and invertebrates. Millie is a huge help in our gardens and we are working on butterfly flower gardens. We spend a lot of time fishing also. I (father) teach people about conservation for a few organizations, so she has been tagging along since she was born.
