What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreMiles loves animals and learning about their characteristics, sunsets, growing plants, hiking and visiting national parks, studying weather and especially loves solving problems that help make the world a better place. He is always designing, creating and engineering things to help the environment. Building birdhouses, raising his own garden, reading and studying about animal habitats and adaptations. On the farm he is always looking for evidence of animals and loves to be outside.
His favorite animal is the Bengal Tiger. In the words of Miles, “Bengal Tigers are carnivores. They different striped patterns in their fur that are like fingerprints and that makes each tiger special. I like how beautiful and strong they are and how each one is different.”
His favorite outdoor activity is hiking. Hiking on the farm, at area lakes and trails, visiting animal sanctuaries and hiking in National Parks. His favorite parks being Yosemite, the Grand Canyon and Mammoth Cave. He has learned so much by hiking, exploring nature, seeing animals and ecosystems. It has really sparked his love for animals and their relationships with the environment.
