Mikey enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring. Being in nature helps him feel connected, relaxing in the peace and quiet and enjoying all the little things. The thrill of learning about animals, reptiles, and their ecosystems as well as different regions and environments they thrive in.
I am unsure of a favorite animal because Mikey loves almost any animal but if i had to choose one it would be a Capybara. Capybara are just awesome animals, they are in the Rodent family taking the trophy for the largest Rodent and they love water! They are also known to be very cute resembling a cross between a pig and a rat.
Favorite outdoor activity would have to be kayak fishing at Lake Ouachita with his cousins. Every year in April the "red horse" Carp run (spawn) and we usually take a large group of kids to Lake Hinkle to kayak from the lake and paddle up stream to Jones Creek and herd the Carp. The kids call it "Hill Billy hand fishing" they usually build a small dam or barrier in order to corral them and catch and release them, showing off the biggest catch.
