I love helping animals, like the time I found a bird with a hurt wing or helped a turtle cross the road. This year, I went to a nature school where I learned how to care for animals and protect the environment, like keeping our beaches and oceans clean. Being in nature makes me feel truly happy…it’s where I feel my best.
It’s hard to pick just one because I love all animals, but my favorite is my dog Bear. He’s like my brother. We play every day, I take him for walks, and I help feed him. He’s my best friend.
My favorite thing to do outside is go fishing with my dad. We do saltwater and freshwater fishing! I like when we catch big fish and I get to reel them in. It’s fun being on the boat or by the water and spending time with my dad. If Bo wins the Jr. Ranger award, he plans to use the prize money to start a Fishing School for Kids, so more kiddos can learn how to fish and experience the joy of the outdoors just like he does.
