Start Their AdventureI love seeing how it all of nature connects. Exploring nature feels like an adventure; protecting it feels vital. I want to learn more as a Jr. Ranger and help keep wild places special. Growing up by the San Marcos Springs which is home of several endangered species, the clearest water in America, and the start of the Texas Water Safari has given me a close up view of how the elements of life interconnect.
River otters are my favorite! I love seeing them behind my house in the clear San Marcos River. They're so playful, sliding down banks, diving for fish, and wrestling. Watching their sleek bodies zip through the water makes me happy and reminds me why protecting our river habitats is so important.
My favorite activity is glass-bottom kayaking on the San Marcos River. The clear bottom is like a giant magnifying glass! I get to see the unique spring-fed habitat up close: waving wild rice, endangered fountain darters, maybe even blue prawn. It's the best way to explore the underwater world & fuels my love for nature.
