Everything in nature appeals to his senses. He loves listening to the wind and the rain, watching the trees and the sunlight on the lake, watching the geese and ducks, and even touching and identifying trees by their bark.
He loves all animals whether domestic or wild. He gets enamored by every animal he learns about (it has been bison for weeks) and comes across, for instance when we saw a baby raccoon being rescued from a trash can at the park. Then we were all about raccoons for weeks! We visit and watch the baby fish grow at the boat dock each week and are currently raising caterpillars into butterflies.
Matthew's favorite outdoor activity is driving through the park or walking through the park. We like to sit at the lakes and watch the water, take the trails around the lakes, talk about what we see and use our imagination as we walk along.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
