Martin is “curiouser and curiouser” about wildlife and not afraid to take a closer look!
Thank you for generously supporting Martin in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
Eight-year-old Martin says nature is beautiful and he loves seeing all the unique animals. He watches how each animal moves, how it eats, and how cute it is.
According to Martin, he loves dogs because they are smart and cuddly. Martin especially loves his own dogs, Nala and Dexter. “Dogs are always there for you even when you are having a bad day.” Martin’s favorite wild animal is the wolf (related to dogs) and he learned about how important they are when he visited Yellowstone last summer.
Martin loves nature scavenger hunts, and walks in the woods. He said he looks for signs of life including animals, flowers, and different kinds of fungi. His favorite mushroom is chicken of the woods. Martin said he would be a good Junior Ranger because he loves the outdoors and animals, and emphasized, “I don’t litter!”
