Lucy is wild about weather and everything nature brings with it! She sings water cycle songs, names cloud types, and checks the forecast like a pro. In winter, she studies snow—fluffy vs. packing—and marvels at each snowflake’s unique design. Fall has her sorting leaves by shape and shade. She’s curious about which animals hibernate, migrate, or stick around through storms. Living in the Midwest gives her a front-row seat to all four seasons—and she soaks up every detail.
Lucy loves cheetahs for their sleek speed, incredible hunting skills, and stunning spotted coats. She’s fascinated by how they move with such grace and power. Their quick sprints and playful pounces even remind her of her own cat, Emmy. To Lucy, cheetahs are the perfect mix of fierce and familiar—wild animals with a touch of home.
Lucy’s favorite outdoor activity is hiking, especially at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center. She loves climbing the lookout tower for a view of Lake Michigan, searching for frogs by the pond, and listening for woodpeckers. She tries to spot the tallest tree and often brings binoculars to find hidden or faraway creatures. Every trail feels like an adventure, and she never tires of exploring the sights and sounds of the forest.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
