Start Their AdventureShe loves how quiet and peaceful it is—like she’s the only person in the world. Sometimes she pretends she’s a hermit living alone on a mountain, surviving in the woods and exploring secret places. Nature makes her feel free and creative, like she can be anyone or anything. There’s always something to imagine, discover, or just sit and enjoy without any noise or rush.
It’s tough for her to pick a favorite…she loves all kinds of birds. Birds of paradise because of the amazing courtship dances and rituals they’ve evolved. Crows and other corvids for their intelligence and cheekiness. And some birds like kakapos, caiques, seagulls, and boobies simply for how adorable and goofy they are.
She loves hiking in national parks and spotting animals, plants, and rocks we don’t get to see near home. She has a good eye for finding tiny little beetles crawling on a flower or a songbird high up in a tree. She had a blast scrambling up hills and finding and reporting fossils at Badlands National Park!
