Liam loves all things wildlife. He wants to be a zoologist and LOVES zoobooks. He studies plants and animals so he can help protect nature.
Thank you for generously supporting Liam in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreHis favorite thing about nature is that there’s always something new to learn. He always says there’s so many amazing things we can see if we just take the time to look. He makes us all slow down to appreciate “little details” and constantly reminds us that the more we learn about nature, the more wildlife we can help preserve so younger kids get to learn about it in the future.
The lion is his favorite animal(other than his pet Artemis the rat). It started as his favorite when he was in prek because Lion started with the same two letters of his name(Liam), so he decided to start studying them. Now he loves them because he says they are very unique cats in the feline family. He could tell you just about anything about them. His favorite things about them are that they live in prides and are brave in protecting their families, just like him with his brothers.
His favorite thing to do outside is to look for and study the wildlife, especially when he gets to travel to new places. He loves to spend our camping and hiking trips with his “lucky ranger hat” on and microscope or binoculars out, surveying the area for any signs of wildlife. From Bison to the tiniest ant, he loves them all. He also enjoys trying to sketch any new animals or plants he sees in his adventure journal.
