What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreI love to go outside and look for different wildlife. I live in Montana and there is always a lot of different animals around. My parents say I ask a lot of questions, but I love understanding why certain animals do certain things and how they each play a role in the wild.
My favorite wild animal is bison. I love to see the little red dogs in Yellowstone National Park during calving time. I’ve always loved seeing bison and that is what first made me want to be a Park Ranger when I’m older. I know they are dangerous and I get angry when people don’t respect the bison.
My favorite outdoor activity is watching my horses, chickens, barn cats, and dogs all run around happily. I think being outside makes everyone happier. I really like to explore for pretty wildflowers in nature, hunt for sheds (and feathers) in the spring, and go rock hunting at the River. Finding different prints and scat to identify is really fun, too!
