Kyle is a fun loving, silly and energetic almost 7 year old. No matter the weather, he and his brother want to be out on the local trails.
Thank you for generously supporting Kyle in this year’s competition. Your participation helps empower the National Wildlife Federation in their mission to protect wildlife, restore habitats, and inspire the next generation of conservationists.
My dad is studying to be a conservation officer to help protect Yukon’s wildlife. I love spending time with my dad while he teaches me all about the circumpolar north and the various animals and habitats they live in.
My favourite animal is the polar bear because they are one of the most powerful animals in the North. Unfortunately, I have never seen one in real life. I have seen almost every kind of bear in existence, but not my favourite. I love how furry they are. Their babies are also super cute. My dad says they are endangered, which makes me very sad. So I try to teach all my friends at school all about polar bears. Because if more people love polar bears as much as I do, then maybe we can save them all
Going on hikes in the Yukon wilderness with his binoculars. He loves spotting wild life from a safe distance. He also loves collecting rocks along his hikes. Kyle spends a lot of his time playing with sticks and pointing out every single flower in the forest and explaining to his little brother what type of flower it is. He loves spotting birds in the sky and using his binoculars to spot eagles. Eagles are his second favourite animal and the Yukon is abundant in these majestic birds.
