Receive Text Updates"The trees. Some grow to space and they make oxygen so we can breathe." Koa loves the outdoors. He learned how to walk inside the San Francisco Botanical Gardens during the pandemic. He loves going to the California Academy of Science and the San Francisco Zoo. Right now his passion is going to the Conservatory of Flowers inside Golden Gate Park to feed his carnivorous plant fascination.
"I love the bees!!! They pollinate flowers and make sweet honey." Koa's interest in insects I think spawned from his love of carnivorous plants. Instead of watching cartoons, he would watch videos of Venus flytraps competing for prey. He loves aquariums and terrariums. He can spend hours looking for the smallest things and gets excited when telling you about what he sees.
Going to the beach. He loves the tide pools and looking for sand dollars and sand crabs. Hiking in the redwoods and camping he really enjoys too. Just the other day he was so interested in getting a stick and grabbing hair algae from a creek. He was calling it sea snot...
