Learn moreI love being outside because it’s like one big playground! I can dig in the dirt, splash in the creek, and ride my bike down twisty mountain trails. I like finding creatures, too. My brother and I just found a whole family of lizards in our yard that do tiny push-ups in the sun – we call them the "push up family." I love fishing, too. There’s nothing better than feeling a fish tug on my line and seeing the ripples dance on the water. Nature is full of surprises, and I want to find them all!
Our family animal is the wolf. Wolves are strong, brave, and always stick together, just like us. I like how they roam the wild forests of Oregon, where we live. We read about OR-7, a wolf who traveled far from his pack to find a new home. I like how wolves work together to hunt and protect each other, and their howl is the coolest sound in nature – it’s like they’re talking to the whole forest. Just like a wolf pack, our family is strongest when we’re together.
Mountain biking is my favorite thing to do. I love how it lets me explore way further than when we just walk. I’ve ridden trails in Oregon, Nevada, and even all the way up in Canada! I love the flow of the trail – the way the trees blur by and the dirt crunches under my tires. It’s the best feeling, whether I’m riding with my friends or just racing down a hill on my own. My bike can take me anywhere, and I’m always ready for the next adventure.
