She enjoys watching the way different animals interact with their environment, and how those connections ripple out to affect us too. Whether it's birds building nests in the trees or bees pollinating flowers, she notices all the beauty in the natural world. It reminds her that every small part plays a role in keeping the planet healthy and alive
The cheetah is her favorite animal. She loves that it’s fast, just like her and her oldest sister. She’s fascinated by how cheetahs can blend into their surroundings with their spotted coats, almost disappearing into the tall grass. Their speed and stealth make them seem like superheroes of the animal world always moving. She also admires how strong they are, moving with purpose and power through the wild.
Katherine loves to play in her backyard where every corner is an adventure for her. She will bounce in her trampoline while watching the birds and squirrels feed at our feeder. Then she will dig under the sun warmed bricks around the tree to search for pill bugs. Finally, she will check for new blooms on the flowers we have planted and carefully watch for the spiders and their new webs in the garden.
