What does Katherine love most about nature?

Katherine loves animals and creatures, however her most loved aspect of nature is plants. She loves growing elephant ears, blackberries, tomatoes, and flowers. She sees the beauty and serenity of the smallest flower growing on the bank of a lake, and relishes the taste of blackberries straight of the vine in her backyard. She loves to visit with her grandmother and cultivate the vegetables in the garden.

What is Katherine's favorite animal—and why?

Katherine’s favorite animal is the honey bee—a tiny creature with an extraordinary purpose. She adores honey bees not just for their gentle buzz or golden stripes, but because they play a vital role in helping flowers bloom and vegetables flourish in the garden. To Katherine, honey bees are nature’s quiet heroes, working tirelessly from dawn to dusk. Their perseverance, teamwork, and grace inspire her—and remind her that even the smallest beings can make a big difference.

What is Katherine's favorite outdoor activity?

Katherine loves gardening. What began as playing in the mud grew into a passion, nurtured by her mommy and grandmothers. She finds joy and inspiration in watching tiny seedlings grow into beautiful flowers or vines. For her, gardening is a special connection to family, nature, and the quiet magic of growth.
