What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreBoth Kai and his little brother Jace have always enjoyed being outside ever since they were babies. They have been going on hikes their whole lives and have had a love of nature instilled in them from their family. Kai loves to do anything outside including digging; swimming in creeks and rivers; and looking for rocks, bugs and salamanders. Kai has also learned to respect nature and more importantly protect it. He has an inquisitive mind and loves to share all he learns along the way.
Kai comes from a family of animal lovers and has a dog and 3 cats at home. Kai’s favorite animals are cats and sloths. His cat Harley stretches with him every night and he loves to hike and walk his dog Bruce. Kai has always loved sloths. He likes that they are slow and take their time. Kai is also a reptile lover- especially box turtles and frogs. He loves to feed the box turtles he finds in his grandparents back yard. He is so gentle and kind to any creature he meets.
Kai loves to hike, swim, and garden. Kai especially loves swimming in the lake, river or ocean. His pop-pop loves SCUBA diving and showing Kai what hides under the water. Kai has even tried snorkeling! He is excited to explore the whole other world that exists below the water’s surface one day. He has a deep wonder for the world and how beautiful the outdoors are. Kai reminds us every day how important it is for children to explore the outdoors and develop a special connection that will last.
