Receive Text UpdatesAnimals are always changing their habits, and sometimes how they look, during different seasons, it’s so interesting. Between searching the forest for sheds, seeing other animals with their babies, salmon runs, and when all the males are competing for the female’s attention, there is always something going on.
Bears are my favourite animal and I have loved them since I was little. We have two types of bears including the grizzly bear and the black bear where I live. Both bears eat berries and also hunt for fish and other prey. Grizzly bears have claws that are up to 4 inches long and black bears are almost as long at up to 3 inches.
My favourite activity to do in nature is fishing. When I watch my bobber on the waves at the lake or my fly drift down the river. It’s so peaceful but if I’m lucky, I’ll get a bite and boom! No more peace! I have to fight a fish and I’m so excited. When my Dad takes a picture of me with my fish, I feel very proud! We get lots of time to talk between fish and I learn a lot. I can barely fall asleep before fishing but after I’m pretty tired. Fishing days are my favourite days!
