What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreJonathan loves going on hikes, especially when he can use a stick as he walks. He says he loves looking at all of the trees and little animals that live in the woods. He likes the challenge of hiking up hills and seeing how far he walked. On a regular day he will sit with our cat by the window and watch the squirrels, birds and bunnies in our backyard.
Jonathan’s favorite wild animal is a cheetah. He did a report on them for school this year. He loves how fast they can run. He’s always trying to run faster so he can be like them. That’s one of his goals in physical therapy, to run faster like a cheetah. (Jonathan has a very rare form of muscular dystrophy.)
Jonathan’s favorite outdoor activity is soccer. He loves playing defense the most because he likes to defend the goal, and help his team get possession of the ball so they can score. He knows that all players are important to help the team be victorious. He also likes riding his bike or scooter when it’s not soccer season.
