What is Jr. Ranger?
Learn moreNature is probably the most surprising thing on planet earth. No matter where you go there is always something new to learn and see. I particularly enjoying finding animals in their natural habitat. My favorite animals to look for are snakes, lizards and fish. I love learning about fish because they are good indicators of the health of our planet and ecosystem. I like teaching people about nature and telling them how they can protect the animals in it.
I love snakes. I became obsessed with King Cobras when I was 3. My parents bought every children's book, toy, tree ornament and anything they could find with a King Cobra on it. They even found a King Cobra halloween costume! These days I love all snakes. I love learning about how they interact in nature & watching them hunt. The way their jaws can detach is so cool and I like the way they feel in my hands. I try to help people feel less afraid of snakes & learn to love them!
I like catching animals and climbing trees. I'm always on the lookout for a snake, lizard, salamander or frog while I'm outside. I also like finding bugs and arachnids. I love to look closely at them and then let them go. If I find a good climbing tree, I always climb it. Sometimes I pretend to be a mountain lion and take a snooze. My mom gets mad when I go too high though.
