Learn moreJesse says his favorite thing about nature is the amazing feeling it gives him; a feeling that is both calm and peaceful, it’s where he feels most relaxed but it also feels exciting and adventurous, like anything could happen because nature is WILD! He loves exploring the woods, the beach, and the back yard, turning over rocks to find cool bugs, playing in streams to look for crayfish, searching tide pools to look for crabs, etc. “Nature just makes me happy!”
Jesse never met an animal he doesn’t like, but his absolute favorite is the Florida Panther. It is one of the reasons he wants to be an Everglades national park ranger. He loves its elusive mystery, its powerful muscles, how fast it is and of course, it’s just really cute! Jesse has read every book on panthers he can find and loves to educate people on the environmental dangers panthers face and how they can help protect this endangered species. Jesse is PASSIONATE about PANTHERS!
Jesse loves hiking, exploring caves, catch and release fishing and while it may sound funny, his FAVORITE thing to do in nature, is just to BE in nature, he likes to lay in the grass and watch the ants, follow the bees to see where they are going, watch the birds at the feeders to learn their habits, look for snakes and study the clouds. If it’s happening outside, he wants to know more about it. He is passionate about all animals and wants to learn how to help them and protect where they live.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Jr. Ranger, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
