What he loves most is planting things and helping them grow. It’s because of him we have an ever growing garden in our yard that he waters everyday! He also loves learning about different animals he especially has a soft spot for the baby animals because he has a nurturing soul. This guy has a gift to see the beauty in the most mundane things which is why when hiking he will inevitably come home with a collection of rocks, flowers, pinecones and sticks.
His favorite animal is a snake. He likes them because he feels they’re misunderstood and thinks they are cool. He likes that they’re so different from other animals because they don’t have legs and they slither. He tends to find the good in living things. He also loves cardinals because of their beautiful color! He will literally sit at the window waiting to spot one and inform the family of their arrival. The funny part is his excitement never fades no matter how many he has seen one.
His favorite outdoor activity is hiking! As a kid with ADHD he tends to get told to settle down a lot but in nature it’s like he’s free. He can climb, run, dig for worms, splash through a streams, swim and find the best hiking sticks! Interestingly, no one has to tell him to be still if he’s waiting to spot a bird or a deer. When fishing he patiently sits and waits for hours for a bite. There’s a peace that nature brings to him that can’t be explained.
